An excellent opportunity has arisen for a receptionist/administrator to join our busy property office. This is primarily a reception/admin role within a team selling, letting and managing property. Ideally you will have experience in a similar role. An understanding of the lettings and wider property industry would be advantageous.

What is the Job?

Ogilvy Chalmers is a multi-discipline team of Estate Agents, Letting Agents, Land Agents and Architects providing a full range of rural property services.  You will play an essential role in providing a positive first impression to clients, tenants, visitors and callers. A helpful and polite manner will achieve the aim of providing excellent customer service. In addition to reception and secretarial duties you will provide administrative support to a small but busy team.

Skills required:

  • An excellent telephone manner
  • A confident and accurate communicator
  • Confident IT skills with competency in Outlook, Excel & Word
  • Organised and efficient record keeper
  • Work productively in a fast moving environment
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure


Duties will include:

  • Reception
  • Record keeping
  • Property management administration
  • Landlord and tenancy administration
  • Liaising with clients, tenants & trades
  • Secretarial support to the wider professional team
  • Updating information databases
  • Use of SME Professional, Microsoft Office and Adobe design software
  • Incoming & outgoing post


Terms and Conditions:

  • Start date: July 2019
  • Hours of Work: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
  • Holidays: 30 days including public holidays.
  • Salary: This will be commensurate with experience
